For Foreign Medical Graduates, having U.S.-based clinical experience is crucial to securing a United States Residency training position. If you wish to train at a U.S.-based, ACGME-accredited institution, you should begin your preparation by learning more about the rigors and challenges of medicine in the U.S. The only way to do that is by rotations and observerships in U.S.-based clinical sites, where preceptors can help you adjust to the differences that residency program directors will expect you to be able to navigate. Brooklyn USCE offers Foreign Medical Graduates the opportunity to learn in U.S.-based clinical rotation sites for competitive rates to gain invaluable experience. In addition, housing can be included for the FMGs who are in need of accommodations during their rotations.

Research Update...

Research Update Inc. is a non-profit educational organization, founded to promote clinical research and its application to enrich community health. They provide tailored training, emphasizing the aspects of basic and advanced clinical research as well as an understanding of the publication processes for future and current physicians across the world. Research Update also offers customized consultation from the basics of translating ideas/thoughts into viable research projects to more complex research proposal development, study design and methodology, IRB documentation, data collection, and biostatistical support, drafting and editing the manuscript, and publication process.

  • 6 months of comprehensive clinical research experience
  • Step by step thorough guidance on projects’ formation and execution process
  • The course covers a full spectrum of basic and advanced research education and guidance on translating ideas/thoughts into viable research projects including observational study, systematic review & meta-analysis, and literature review
  • Each month, you will be working on different types of projects, with the USA attending and instructors, and submit them to the appropriate peer-reviewed conferences (AHA, AMA, AAN, ANA, DDW, AASLD, SGIM, APA, EPA, USCAP, etc.) and PubMed/Google Scholar-indexed peer-reviewed journals (Major Publication House: Elsevier, Springer Nature, MDPI, BMJ, Wiley, SAGE, Cureus, etc.)
  • Learning opportunities for presenting and publishing your projects
  • 8-10 students (including residents and fellows) per group and online training sessions
  • Specifically tailored for USA Residency or Fellowship Applicants
